Glutinous Rice – A “must have” for Chinese New Year


There are many versions of preparing Glutinous Rice.

My favourite and “must have” ingredients are boiled pork belly, shredded Shiitake mushrooms and dried shrimps.

The boiled pork belly are cut into strips before frying with the other ingredients.

The key ingredients are fried together with the pre-soaked glutinous rice.

Blended with a good flavourful sauces and home prepared chicken stock before steaming.

A plate of steamed Glutinous Rice ready for serving.
