Saba mackerel is a cold-water fish, it contains a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent cardiovascular disease and promote brain health. Saba is high in some other nutrients, as well.
Saba is high in both protein and fat, but not carbs. An 8-ounce serving of grilled saba mackerel contains about 14 grams of fat and 18.5 grams of protein. This same portion size contains zero grams of carbohydrate.

The yellowstripe scad locally known as Ikan Kunning has high protein content.
Commonly deep fried until crispy and served with Nasi Lemak.
The ikan kuning that goes well with nasi lemak could become extinct sooner than expected.
So grab some while you can.
Scrape the guts out from the fish by snipping along the belly.
Remove the scales by running along the dull edge of a knife against the fish skin.
I was fortunate to have my regular fish supplier to do all the cleaning and removing job.
Wash and pat dry with paper hand towel.
Seasoned with salt and turmeric powder including the fish belly.
Spray sufficient cooking oil over the fish and air fried for 20 minutes on one side or until the fish turned nicely browned and crispy.
Do the same for the other side of the fish.
Served with your favourite Nasi Lemak or Pandan Rice.

Winged beans are versatile edible legumes with long, flat pods covered with frilly “wings” along the four edges.
The beans generally recognized by their local names like “kacang botol” in Malaysia, “kecipir” in Indonesia.
Best cooked with prawns and Chilli Shrimp Floss
Rinse the winged beans with water and dry with kitchen towel.
Cut into your desired sizes.
Heat wok with some cooking oil and fry minced garlic till fragrant.
Add the prawns and fry until semi cooked with a dash of Chinese cooking wine.
Add the winged beans and toss two tablespoons or slightly more Chilli Shrimp Floss and chilli sambal and mixed thoroughly giving them a quick stir.
Add some water if too dry and cook until the winged beans are soft but yet crunchy.
Taste and adjust seasoning if required.
Turn off the heat and transfer to serving plate.
Its best to serve immediately.
You may wish to sprinkle another tablespoon of Chilli Shrimp Floss before serving.

This dish is commonly found at economical food stall.
Add a little oil to the pan over low heat, pan fried the Mermaid Fish until brown and crispy.
In the meantime, prepare you own desired chilli sauce in a separate small pot and bring to a boil.
Add the cooked chilli sauce to the crispy Mermaid Fish and mixed thoroughly, coating each piece of the fish.
Remove and serve immediately.

Home prepared chicken stock
One bunch of Wolfberries leaves
1 tablespoon dried Wolfberries
1 beaten egg
Carefully remove the wolfberries leaves from the thorny stems.
Discard the stem and rinse soak the leaves in a big basin for ten minutes.
Rinse and set aside.
Bring the home prepared chicken stock to a boil and add the fish balls.
When the fish ball starts to float, add the wolfberries leaves and wolfberries and bring to a boil.
Add a little premium light soy sauce and salt to taste.
Beat the egg lightly with a fork and slowly add to the soup to create the egg flower.
