Hors D’oeuvres

Introduction:

Small bites of appetizing marinated pork/beef wrapped with Chinese lettuces. Garnished with Daikon radish strips.

Small bites of appetizing well marinated pork/beef with Chinese lettuces and garnished with Daikon Radish strips.

Ingredients:

1 packet pork/beef shabu shabu

1 bundle of Chinese lettuces

Slices of Daikon Radish

2 tablespoons of Superior Dark Soy Sauce

4 tablespoons of

1 big sweet onion (sliced thinly)

Toasted white sesame seeds (optional)

 

Method:

Marinate the pork or beef shabu shabu meat with Mirin and set aside for an hour.

Keep refrigerate.

Wash the Chinese lettuce, dry and separate the leaves. Drain on colander.

Heat some cooking oil in a non stick frying pan on medium heat.

Add in the thinly sliced sweet onion and fry till fragrant.

Add the pork/beef slices (in strips).

Add the Seasoning for Yakiniku BBQ-Mild  sauce and stir together thoroughly.

Do not over cook the meat since they are thinly sliced.

Add dark soy sauce and blend well.

 

Transfer the dish to a serving plate and divide them equally portion by portion with the served Chinese lettuces top with a little sauce mixture into the middle.

Fold the Chinese lettuces and secure them with a toothpick.

Garnish each serving with a few slices of Daikon Radish strips.
